The word of the professionals

Interview with Benoît Carmel, Team Leader, Organizational, Training and Staffing Development for Human Resources Management at the Montreal Casino

What profile are you seeking for the position of cashier?

The profile of a candidate for position of cashier is quite similar to that of dealer. Sometimes a candidate will apply to be a cashier and if he demonstrates great ease in interacting with others he will be directed to a position as a dealer.  We also seek candidates who have already held a position handling money.

How does the interview work?

Aside from the usual questions, we will test calculation aptitude. For example, the recruiter will place cards on a table. As the cards fall, the candidate should be able to tally the total of the cards.
