Ontario Gaming East Limited Partnership, a controlled affiliate of Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, is currently seeking a driven and energetic individual to join our growing business in eastern Ontario as a FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVER. This role will join our team at Shorelines Casino Belleville. Under the direction of the Supervisor, Food & Beverage, this position is responsible for selling food and beverage with an upbeat and positive attitude, providing guests with the best service possible in a professional manner. Must be collaborative, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Duties and Responsibilities Include: * Providing guests with the best service possible in a professional manner. * Selling food and beverage with an upbeat and positive attitude. * Thorough knowledge of food and beverage items available in the facility. * Use of P.O.S. system; Handling of cash and credit; balancing of sales at end of shift. * Cleaning of tables: clear dishes, empties and properly wiped down. * Making sure tables and chairs are organized in section. * Restocking, cleaning and organizing of all related work equipment and areas. * Ongoing practice of Smart Serve. * Assist other co-workers as needed &/or directed. * Understand and follow opening and closing server duties. * Adhering to all AGCO, GCGC and HR policies as they relate to functions of the position. * Any other duties as assigned or directed. Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications: * Minimum one-year relevant experience in a high-volume environment preferred * Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet stipulated deadlines * Bartending experience an asset * Cash handling experience preferred * Smart Serve certificate required * Previous P.O.S. experience an asset * Ability to stand for long periods of time * Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. * Excellent customer service and people skills * Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player Since the fun never stops at Shorelines, candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights, based on business needs.

Requirements

A Smart Serve certificate is required, and at least one year of relevant high-volume experience is preferred; cash-handling experience is preferred, while bartending and point-of-sale experience are assets. Candidates should have strong customer-service and interpersonal skills, be able to multitask under pressure, stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights.
