La SOPFEU est la seule organisation au Québec responsable de la prévention, de la détection et de la suppression des incendies de forêt. Sa mission vise à protéger la forêt, les communautés et les infrastructures stratégiques contre les incendies de végétation, tout en assurant la pérennité du milieu forestier. Elle est mandatée par le ministère de la Sécurité publique (MSP) pour accomplir cette mission unique, et peut compter sur une grande équipe de plus de 650 travailleurs engagés répartis stratégiquement partout en province. Au siège social de Québec, s'ajoutent les trois directions régionales (Baie-Comeau, Roberval et Val-d’Or) ainsi que plusieurs bases d'opérations. Chef - Zone nordique de l'Ouest

Lead and manage personnel and resources to deliver the special organization plan for wildfire protection in the western northern zone, including coordinating wildfire monitoring and analysis. Support Indigenous communities and municipalities through risk mitigation, vulnerability assessments, training, and prevention meetings, and serve in incident command roles as needed.

Lead the planning, organization, direction, and oversight of personnel and resources responsible for wildfire protection in the western northern zone. Support Indigenous communities and municipalities with wildfire risk mitigation, coordinate wildfire monitoring and analysis, develop expertise in wildfire behavior, and serve in incident command roles as needed.

Chef - Combat aérien

Plan and coordinate aerial firefighting activities and resources, oversee aerial attack personnel, and serve in operational roles supporting air operations and regional operations centers. Promote aviation safety and compliance, audit suppression operations, analyze incidents and mission reports, and represent the organization in partner groups while recommending operational improvements.
