Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented software engineer to join the Franchisee Technology team to manage employee and restaurant data across our iconic brands and develop core applications utilized by restaurants around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with other software engineers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders about business and project requirements
- Write clean, testable code in JavaScript
- Integrate with vendor APIs
- Create, retrieve, and update data using MySQL
- Analyze and optimize queries written in MySQL
- Deploy code to AWS using CircleCI
- Contribute to code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues, implement solutions, and improve system performance
- Write multiple forms of testing, including in unit, integration, and end-to-end
- Create best-in-class software based on an understanding of business and technical priorities and needs
- Keep up-to-date with the latest and emergent technologies
Core Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working with NodeJS, React, MySQL, GitHub, and AWS
- Experience integrating applications with external APIs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with TypeScript, Okta, CircleCI, Terraform, Redis, and Docker
- Portfolio of personal projects
- Open source contributions
