To help us with this endeavor, we are looking for a high-energy Manager, Category – Drinkware and Home, excited to build new innovations for both our restaurants and our guests. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure high-quality general merchandise retail products and help us reach our general merchandise retail goals. You will develop and prepare category management and the product mix for our incoming products.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop holistic category strategies to address business need and drive ongoing sales & profitability
  • Create business cases and strategic 3-year plans for the assigned Category portfolio in order to advocate for new platform launches, limited time offers (LTOs), promotional tactics, digital initiatives, and optimization of assortment strategy
  • Be the go-to expert in the organization for the assigned Category and work collaboratively with other cross-functional teams to launch impactful initiatives for your product portfolio
  • Leverage guest research to develop strong business plans and marketing campaigns, while collaborating with Consumer Insights team to build a pipeline of future research to be executed for ongoing Category learnings
  • Negotiate with external/internal suppliers and manage suppliers’ funding and costing agreements
  • Coordinate with the Calendar Planning team to effectively roadmap initiatives within the Marketing calendar
  • Develop campaign briefings for Marketing Communications to inform creative campaign development for in-store merchandising, mass media, and digital marketing channels
  • Analyze the performance of product mix plans while proactively managing the introduction/discontinuation/optimization of the product mix within assigned categories
  • Ensure regular and promotional pricing strategies for assigned categories are delivered with a focus on gaining a competitive advantage
  • Implement changes with a focus on gaining a competitive advantage and follows up and resolves key pricing issues
  • Recommend and develop effective plans/merchandising strategies for the promotion of assigned categories via various marketing venues and partners with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and implementation of plans
  • Communicate environmental, legislative and product integrity standards to key stakeholders (e.g., suppliers) and ensures that new lines reflect environmental/legislative compliance/product integrity
  • Visit competitions, trade shows, and industry events and recommend/implement innovative and profitable merchandising ideas and solutions

What you’ll bring:

  • University degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in Confectionary (Sweets & Snacks) category management or product development in Retail, CPG, or QSR industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application, with a focus on: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • High analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical abilities combined with creativity in problem solving
  • Highly organized and motivated with a desire to outperform
  • You have strong time-management and organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • You’re resilient and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment working on multiple and competing projects simultaneously, with a sense of urgency and thoughtfulness.
  • You have strong critical-thinking and conceptual problem-solving skills. You are be able to debate complex issues, ask the right questions, interpret data and synthesize learnings and think outside the box.
