Manager, Operations Standards - Equipment, Tim Hortons

Our Opportunity:

We are looking for our next Manager, Ops Equipment Standards to join the team to support Tim Hortons Canada. This is a Fixed Term contract with duration of 12 months. The role is part of the Tim Hortons Canada Equipment Team, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Operations Equipment in Toronto. This role is suited for a driven individual with strong QSR and operational experience. This individual is critical to providing high-quality operational support to our restaurants.

As part of the role, Day-to-day tasks include managing and supporting several projects, communicating with franchisees, vendors and field support teams. This includes process design and working directly with equipment manufacturers. Project work is cross-functional with a focus on restaurant-level process and equipment solutions that reduce complexity and improve franchisee profitability.

This team member will spend part of their time in restaurants, and our test lab on projects that support our equipment strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting restaurants with high quality resources, procedures, and training to support in-restaurant operational execution.
• Testing, & Validation Routines
• Conducts detailed lab testing to evaluate performance of potential new equipment, and measures performance and on opportunities of existing equipment.
• Executes and supports in-restaurant test markets, gathering feedback, conducting analysis and launch recommendations though observations and data.
• Communication of plans, updates, and results to all levels of the organization.
• Project Management
• Responsible for owning and managing key workstreams for new equipment that supports Tim Hortons goals and product pipeline.
• Additionally, supports several continuous improvements projects with existing equipment to drive restaurant performance.
• Provides excellent support for restaurants and field teams by problem solving and troubleshooting as required.
• Facilitates development and executes deployment of all equipment menu changes and software upgrades for the system.

Required Skills:

• You know restaurants and have 2-4 years of experience in equipment or operations
• Undergraduate Bachelor's Degree (Engineering or Business preferred)
• 2 to 4 years of prior work experience with Project Management and project planning
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in different forms and with different audiences
• Problem-solving, negotiation, and project management skills
• Strong in PowerPoint and presentation creation abilities
• Ability to analyze and interpret data using spreadsheets, data visualization software, etc.
• Honesty, high integrity, personal accountability, and a passion for the success of the brand, the team, and personal career growth
• Project related travel (0-25%), primarily in continental US & Canada with occasional travel outside North America
