Alongside a manager who will help coordinate and lead operations, you'll help oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and help where needed. About this Position: Weekly hours : 37.5 - 40 hours

Schedule : Monday to Friday (85-90% of the time) will require occasional evening or weekend dependent on needs of the business

Job Responsibilities

-this position will report to the Catering Manager & Operations Manager

-this is a non-unionized position, but the candidate will be working in a unionized environment

-approx. 75% of the workload will be focused on front of house supervision, mainly on breakfast & lunch services with general oversight and delegation of the dining hall operations (sandwich & salad bar/general signage/stocking levels of cutlery/plates/vessels, FOH - staff task delegation & management, understanding of customer flow & POS system, oversight of general cleanliness & health + safety process', regulation of temperature logs & cleaning schedules)

-approx. 25% of the workload will be allocated to executing & delegating catering events to staff, (proficient in understanding banquet event orders [BEO], delegation of tasks for all catering items identified on the BEO's) attending & supervision of events as needed, completion of post event inventory tracking

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
• Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic
• Maintain emotional control under stress
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations
• Strong organizational skills
