Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Slot Technical Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, major overhauls and modifications to various casino assets as well as other assigned duties. Must be collaborative, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintains and repairs slot/video machines and associated progressive meters on gaming floor
  • Responsible for mechanical and electrical repairs at the circuit board level
  • Maintains and repairs gaming-related units such as automated card shufflers, Cage equipment (currency counters), Park and Pay, and HERMES printing machine
  • Complies with pre-determined internal controls and procedures
  • Complies with safety and security standards
  • Performs machine installations, moves and conversions along with ensuring that such activities are properly documented to comply with regulatory and internal requirements
  • Assists in lifting slot machines weighing over 200 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Is familiar with design, repair and maintenance standards for all Electronic and Slot Games
  • Troubleshoots electronic issues
  • Other duties as required
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualification Requirements

  • Post Secondary required or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education with a background in electronics
  • Knowledge of slot operating systems, strong troubleshooting, organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
  • Requires working knowledge of computer software packages and the ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment
  • Must have a professional attitude, strong interpersonal skills and be a proven team player
  • Detailed oriented and Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability and willingness to learn and keep current within the industry
  • Must be able to work on equipment and lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Gaming Registration within applicable province (New Brunswick).

  • The role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to business needs, will have non-traditional work hours including primarily early morning shifts, weekend shifts or holiday.
