Job Description

Food and Beverage Manager - Clubhouse

Exceptional service and flavours are the hallmarks of every dining experience. We invite you to develop your leadership strengths as Food and Beverage Manager for our Golf Clubhouse. Pay Range: $70,000 - $75,000 per annum

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure the delivery of excellent service by maintaining high staff morale and team spirit.
  • Motivate, lead, coach and monitor the performance levels of all team members.
  • Ensure and maintain adequate staffing levels throughout the year.
  • Adhere to the budgetary guidelines established for the outlet (labour, productivity, revenue and expenses).
  • Participate in the training and coaching of new and existing team members.
  • To complete assigned projects as required.
  • Actively participate in The Fairmont Chateau Whistler's environmental program and department specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations.
  • To be Health & Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Complies with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts policies, procedures and code of ethics.
  • Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times.
  • Performs any and all other tasks, which are assigned by management.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Minimum of two years' leadership experience in food & beverage
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Thorough working knowledge of wines, liqueurs and other beverages. Sommelier designation is preferred.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of the restaurant team and food and beverage division
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

Physical aspects include but are not limited to:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40+ lbs
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
