Be an important part of the True Key family with Nootka Marine Adventures. You’ll be working among a diverse natural playground of rugged coastal mountains, rainforest and marine life. Newton Cove Resort, an all-inclusive floating luxury resort, is located in Espinosa Inlet near the Pacific entrance to Esperanza Inlet.

Due to the remote nature of the work, preference is for a couple or team working in this position.

Summing it up.

The Winter Care Taker is a jack-of-all-trades. They are responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance and care of our remote floating resort facility, all equipment and systems over the winter season.

What you'll be doing.

  • Remain on site to care for buildings, vessels and systems over the winter season.
  • Answer telephone lines.
  • Provide water taxi service for work crews when necessary.
  • Keep maintenance records and logs up to date daily.
  • Follow written procedures for the power, water, wastewater, fuel and anchor system maintenance.

Who you are.

  • Previous experience in caretaking.
  • Strong background in facilities maintenance.
  • Two years boating experience - Small Vessel Operators Permit (SVOP).
  • Experience maintaining diesel generators, water and wastewater systems, solar inverter systems.
  • Ability to cope in a secluded environment.
