Job Summary

With exciting and substantial expansion plans and growth for both resort and development in Revelstoke, RMR is looking to add to its existing team of infrastructure, planning and environmental project management professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team in planning and building Canada's leading 4 seasons resort community. The role is a year-round, full time and is based inhouse in Revelstoke.

Essential Job Functions

Manage multiple projects in various stages of development to meet critical dates and quality requirements
Effectively interact with internal stakeholders throughout the development cycle
Leads and motivates the project team through all phases of development to ensure projects are consistent with approved pre-development objectives and achieve profitability requirements
Provide timely and accurate direction to external consultants
Conduct site inspections, help chair project and site meetings, initiate value engineering, develop master project schedules, manage global project budget, retain and coordinate the work of design consultants
Prepares project objectives, pro formas and project schedules for approval by Senior Management
Provides guidance to planners, architects and other design consultants through project design balancing construction costs, market, and the target for each project
Coordinate government approvals such as rezoning, development permits, OPC amendments building permits, and outside agency approvals
Become an expert in all the applicable bylaws, legislation, agreements and applicable process that govern development requirements and entitlement within the project.

Required Qualifications and Abilities

5+ years of experience in the development process of residential, multifamily, commercial, master planned and/or mixed-use projects
Post-secondary education in either Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Commerce or Law with a concentration in Real Estate or Urban Land Economics
A track record of successfully managing complex tasks
Local market knowledge and passionate about real estate development and construction
Thrives in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented and entrepreneurial environment
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, design and creative thinking skills
Entrepreneurial with a strong sense of ownership
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and MS Project
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in an individual setting
