At SMS Equipment our Service Supervisors are leaders who love being a part of an essential and dynamic team. In this role, the Service Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the branch. We are looking for a leader who will bring their own insight, experience and positive influence to the team.​ This position is in Prince George, BC.

The shift rotation for this position is 7x7.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $120,000. This position is eligible for an incentive.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees shop facilities and service operations by ensuring operational requirements are met by supervising, coordinating and scheduling the activities of trades people. Prepares service quotes for both internal and external customers.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities include supporting and developing staff by providing or arranging training on assigned tasks and tracking their training. Review schedules to ensure trades people are allocated correctly and each department has the support they require.
  • Customer Service is provided by assisting customers with service information and resolving service problems by providing solutions and following up to ensure resolution. Serves as a back up to the Service Manager with the customer.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician, Journeyperson and at least 3 years of experience in a leadership / supervisory role within the industry environment. Additional qualifications include:

  • Position requires a thorough knowledge of maintenance and repair of construction/mining equipment.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, protocols, and best practices.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change and influence outcomes.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
