JOB SUMMARY


The Starbucks Barista role is a customer-facing position, focused on serving hot and cold quick-service food and drink items. As a part of the Starbucks team, you will be trained as per Starbucks training guidelines working in both solo and team environments. The Starbucks Barista role focuses mainly on serving, cleaning, and stocking areas around Starbucks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Prepares a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and "Coffee of the Week" to Starbucks standards
• Handling of cash

• Opening and closing procedures

• Maintaining quality store operations

• Set up of display cases

• Maintenance and cleaning of equipment

• Serving guests in a prompt and friendly manner

• Providing premium customer service

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES

• Specialty coffee experience is an asset

• Excellent customer service skills

• Knowledge of general health and safety procedures

• We provide training however we require a willingness to learn

• High energy and strong work ethic

• Personable, friendly and outgoing

WORKING CONDITIONS


Hours of Operation are weather dependent. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, and other forms of manual tasks.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS


$17.75/hour
