Lift Operations Shift Lead

You have strong leadership skills and are an enthusiastic, integral member of our team. Working closely with the Lift Operations Team Lead, you ensure an efficient and professional Lift Operations team, acting as the daily 'captain', and taking charge when the Lift Operations Team Lead is absent. You prioritize safety and teamwork, while maximizing guest and employee experience. You take pride in providing our guests the best vacation and recreation experience possible.

You will:

· Lead daily crews and ensure that all Lift Operators are ready to start their shift on time, in proper uniform and in condition to operate equipment safely.

· Provide direction or assistance to Lift Operations team with guest service concerns or inquiries.

· Ensure maintenance and safety directives are adhered to and report any potentially unsafe conditions to the Lift Operations Team Lead, Director of Operations, Maintenance, Mountain Safety or the Operations Administrator.

· Ensure that proper incident reporting procedures are followed.

· Provide a safe environment for our guests and staff by addressing safety concerns immediately and proactively seeking to improve safety processes.

· Ensure coverage for all meal and/or ride breaks.

· Demonstrate a commitment to exceeding guests' expectations on a daily basis through work.

· Provide a great guest experience through assistance and/or instruction.

· Perform housekeeping duties (garbage removal, assisting other departments etc.)

· Be familiar with all emergency procedures and safe/standard operating procedures, able to remain calm and use quick judgment in the event of an emergency and deliver the procedures to ensure guest and staff safety.

· Be familiar with resort products and services.

· Comply with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program.

· Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required.

· Other duties as assigned.

You:

· Have an outgoing attitude and excellent customer service skills.

· Are team oriented and able to work cooperatively and effectively with diverse personalities.

· Have a passion and enthusiasm for mountain culture, and the resort environment.

· Have previous lift operations experience.

· Have a valid class 5 driver's license.

· Are mechanically apt and have lift maintenance knowledge - an asset.

· Have previous experience supervising a team - an asset.

· Have the physical strength and stamina to move around mountain environment for extended periods of time.

· Are physically able to stand, turn, lift up to 30 pounds, and assist adults and children on and off chairlift and/or assist guests with loading equipment (bikes).

· Are able to work flexible shifts, including weekends.

· Are able to work extended (10 hour) shifts in extreme weather conditions on resort (wind, snow, rain, heat, etc.).
