Job Description:

The Lake Louise Ski Resort is looking for a project coordinator to be part of the exciting re-development of our world class mountain resort as part of the implementation of its recently approved Long Range Plan. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the management of various resort construction projects that range from building construction, utilities installation and ski lift installation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, consultants and contractors to ensure the successful delivery of projects, from concept to completion with a focus on design, budgeting and scheduling.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the management of engineering projects from initiation to project closeout, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards
  • Assist with mechanical and civil design and design coordination with consultants
  • Assist with the development of project reports and required submissions for external authorities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, scope of works and work plans.
  • Assist senior project manager in establishing project objectives, procedures, and procurement
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and resolve issues that may impact project timelines and deliverables
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders including the, project team, operational departments, suppliers and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental requirements and coordination of construction activities with Parks Canada


Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and/or Certified Engineering Technologist
  • 3-5 years' experience in civil or mechanical design
  • 3-5 years of project involvement in a construction environment
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices and mechanical or civil design
  • Familiarity with creating project budgets and schedules
  • Design experience with AutoCAD an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position will require written skills in English to assist in the development of project proposals for Parks Canada
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Passion for the ski industry and the outdoors.
