Location: We are seeking a F&B Supervisor for Banff Sunshine Village

Principal Function:

The F&B Supervisor will play a major role in ensuring a pleasant experience for Sodexo Live! guests who attend breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, receptions, and other organized group affairs involving food and beverage service.

The Food & Beverage Supervisor under general direction trains and directs frontline staff to perform their duties to Guest Experience standards. Responsibilities include:

· Ensuring accurate cash, debit, and credit card transactions

· Opening and closing checklists are followed by staff.

· Involved in the placing of and receiving food orders.

· Coordinate food and beverage inventories

· Interacts with customers and maintains the highest level of customer service.

· Receive payment for all services provided to the customer.

· Listen to and resolve any customer complaints.

· Ensure the restaurant area is clean and organized at all times.

· Serve tables, bartend as required.

· Report all maintenance and repair needs to the Location Manager

· Report and assist the Manager with performance management of employees.

· Detailed daily communications: to staff via lineups and on the floor discussion and to leadership though pass on templates.

· Motivate and influence teamwork with all staff in F&B

Qualifications/Skills:

• Must be 18 years or older to serve alcohol.

• Minimum two years’ experience in restaurant operations

• Must have Provincial Certification for Responsible Alcohol Service.

• Ability to count and accurately make change involving large sums of money.

• Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, guest and public relations skills

• Ability to work well independently and in a team.

• Ability to work well in a high stress, fast paced environment.

• Ability to motivate train and provide on – going coaching.

• Ability to deal with customer challenges and solve problems as the come up.

• Technology aptitude for working with POS and digital register.

• Strong skills for persuasive sales, with keen ability to connect easily with customers.

• Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs.

Other Requirements:

• Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors and temperature extremes, must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to manoeuvre in an often tightly quartered environment.

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
