This program is designed to provide recent grads from a recognized hospitality program and/or those with less than 2 years' work experience in the hospitality industry, the opportunity to reach their full potential and prepare them for an accelerated career path to a leadership role within our organization. Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and contribute to your own success.

  • Apply learnings from the program to improve & support operations at the account.

  • Exhibit a "can-do" attitude in encountering challenges and seek support from other when required.

  • Communicate regularly with assigned managers and support staff on your progress.

  • Maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in multi-tasking while being able to prioritize tasks and showcase ability to work independently and in a team setting.

  • Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager whenever his/her skill and/or experience would be vital to initiate, coordinate, or complete any given program.

  • Be able to work occasional night and weekend catered events.

  • Attend meetings with staff and promote good public relations.

  • Maintain communication with staff (including office staff, e-mail, phone calls, inter-office mail, etc).

Qualifications

  • Must read, write and speak English with proficiency.

  • Recent graduate of a recognized hospitality program from an accredited college or university in Canada.

  • Some hospitality, food & beverage operations experience either through internships or seasonal work.

  • Above average competency with Microsoft Office software including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel on short term assignments and relocate anywhere across BC and Alberta.

  • Final placement after the management training program could be anywhere in Alberta or BC, so candidates must be prepared to relocate

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
