Position: Dental Administrator (Concierge) Location: Burlington, ON Clinic: Alton Dental About the Role Full - time - Days, Evenings and Weekends Thank you for considering applying for our Dental Concierge role. We're excited to be hiring for full-time Dental Concierge at Alton Dental. Our Dental Concierge role is unique position for a dental office - this is because we do not operate as a ‘standard’ dental office. We see this role as a service-minded professional who loves a fast-paced environment within a health care setting. This highly important role greets and services our patients from our Care Desk, while also being an integral part of managing our office and supporting our team members. Your Responsibilities Below we’ve listed your formal responsibilities, but other responsibilities may arise. Act as the first point of contact to patients, particularly through welcoming and hosting in-person, over the telephone, and through email, with a view to deliver outstanding customer/patient service. Coordinate appointments, fill vacancies in the schedule and coordinate schedules for practitioners. Manage patient inquiries, complete referrals, liaise with other offices in a clear and concise manner. Communicate recommended treatment plans (for fillings, implants, etc), insurance coverage and resulting out-of-pocket expenses and/or payment plan. Bill patients and their insurance companies and maintain accurate patient accounts. Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable from insurance companies and patients. Maintain patient files, charts, and reports, and enter data into the Electronic Records system. Experience and Skills Required A minimum of one year of experience in an administrative or reception role in a dental clinic Evening and weekend availability is required. The clinic is open 7 days a week and until 9 pm Mon-Fri. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to adapt and respond to a variety of patients. Friendly and calm demeanor. Thrive working in fast-paced environments. IPAC certification is not required but considered an asset. #PassionLP
