About the role
- Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Manage and train restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and hosts/hostesses
- Create employee schedules and assign duties to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure customer satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the restaurant
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to develop new menu items and specials
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in the food service industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
