Our dining room is a place where residents gather, connect, and feel at home.<br><br>This is a working leadership role, where the successful candidate will actively serve residents while supporting and guiding the server team.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:<br>Team Leadership:</strong></div><ul><li>Lead by example in all aspects of dining room service including greeting residents, taking orders, and serving meals.</li><li>Provide on-shift guidance and coaching to servers and new staff.</li><li>Support the Head Chef with server performance reviews.</li><li>Assign and supervise completion of daily service tasks.</li><li>Troubleshoot service issues and escalate concerns when appropriate.<br><br></li></ul><div><strong>Team Coordination:<br></strong>Assist with scheduling for the server team.</div><ul><li>Help coordinate staff time-off requests and absences.</li><li>Support training and mentoring of new team members.</li><li>Maintain smooth communication between the kitchen and dining room teams.</li><li>Monitor service flow, table turnover, and cleanliness standards.<br><br></li></ul><div><strong>Resident Experience:</strong></div><ul><li>Build positive relationships with residents and respond to requests with professionalism and care.</li><li>Help create a warm and dignified dining atmosphere that reflects the Cherish community.</li><li>Support themed dinners, family events, and special occasions.<br><br></li></ul><div><strong>Safety & Compliance:</strong></div><ul><li>Ensure all health and food safety protocols are followed.</li><li>Maintain clean and organized service areas.</li><li>Monitor adherence to dress code, safety practices, and professional standards.</li></ul><div><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong></div><ul><li>Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance.</li><li>Bondable.</li><li>1+ year supervisory experience.</li><li>2+ years serving experience.</li><li>Experience working with seniors is considered an asset.<br><br></li></ul><div><strong>Education & Certifications:</strong></div><ul><li>Grade 12 or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>WHMIS certification.</li><li>Food Safe Level 1 (completed within the last two years).</li><li>Serving it Right.<br><br></li></ul><div><strong>Language:</strong></div><ul><li>English Fluency written and oral required.</li></ul><br><br><ul></ul>
