Role Description The Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site - “boots on the ground” role based at Butchie’s in Whitby, ON. This role oversees daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure excellent guest experiences, consistent food quality, and efficient service. Responsibilities include managing staff schedules, supervising service, coordinating with the kitchen team, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The Restaurant Manager handles customer feedback, supports marketing and promotions, monitors inventory, and assists with ordering and cost control. This position also involves training and coaching team members, supporting hiring decisions, and upholding Butchie’s brand standards and culture.
Qualifications Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service to create a welcoming, positive guest experience. Ability to support Hiring, including interviewing, onboarding, and training team members. Excellent Communication skills for coordinating with staff, guests, and suppliers. Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including menu items, safety, and quality standards. Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality management. Proven leadership abilities with a collaborative, hands-on management style. Understanding of basic budgeting, cost control, and inventory management. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
