Position Overview
We?re looking for a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team and lead production of our pastry line. The ideal candidate is passionate about fine pastry work, consistent quality, and efficient daily production. You?ll work closely with our Chief Baking Officer to develop new seasonal items and maintain high food-safety and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bake pastries, tarts, laminated doughs, custards, and specialty items daily.
Oversee preparation of fillings such as pastry cream, mousses, and fruit compotes.
Maintain consistent product quality, taste, and presentation.
Manage daily prep schedules and ensure production efficiency.
Follow all Food Safe and sanitation procedures.
Assist with inventory, ordering, and organization of ingredients.
Collaborate in menu development and seasonal offerings.
Occasionally assist with bread or sandwich production as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years? experience as a pastry chef, baker, or similar role.
Proven experience with laminated doughs, custards, and fine pastries.
Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredient functions, and recipe scaling.
Food Safe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain).
Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings.
