About the role
Job Summary Provide attentive table service to guests in a restaurant setting. Deliver orders accurately and maintain a positive dining experience through professional service and teamwork. Number of Positions 5 Main Duties Greet and seat guests, present menus, and explain daily specials or promotions as required. Take customer orders accurately and enter them into the point-of-sale or order management system. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring correct presentation and temperature. Monitor customer needs throughout the meal and respond to requests or concerns professionally. Process payments, handle cash and card transactions, and reconcile receipts at shift end. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas and workstations, including setting and clearing tables and following sanitation procedures. Requirements Secondary school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in food and beverage service or customer service is an asset. Strong verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset. Basic numeracy skills and experience operating point-of-sale systems or handling cash transactions. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing for extended periods and carrying trays. Flexible availability to meet operational needs and work variable shifts as required. Required Skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Effective verbal communication and active listening. Multitasking and time management in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy when taking orders and processing payments. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic cash handling procedures.
