Role Description The Cook at Stacked in Spruce Grove, AB is a full-time, on-site role responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch menu items to company standards. Day-to-day tasks include food preparation, operating kitchen equipment safely, cooking dishes according to recipes, and ensuring consistent portioning and presentation. The Cook maintains a clean and organized workstation, follows food safety and sanitation procedures, and assists with stocking and rotating inventory. The role also involves coordinating with servers and other kitchen team members to ensure timely, accurate orders and a smooth service flow. This position contributes directly to a positive guest experience through efficient kitchen operations and high-quality food. Qualifications Culinary skills in preparing breakfast and lunch dishes, including grilling, frying, and assembling plated items. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling in a commercial kitchen environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, manage multiple tickets, and maintain attention to detail under pressure. Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability to collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff. Basic knife skills, portion control, and understanding of recipe adherence and consistency. Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience is preferred; culinary training or certification is an asset. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
