Responsibilities
Tasks
Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies Prepare production and other reports Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies Supervise staff or team Resolve product and service related problems Provide advice in the area of food preparation and storage, and food safety Plan and maintain production schedules Monitor production progress Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification Ensure proper functioning of equipment Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards Ensure health and safety regulations are followed Co-ordinate work activities with other departments Help with scheduling and workflow Ensure safety procedures are followed
Supervision
11-15 people Industrial butchers and meat cutters, poultry preparers and related workers Labourers in food, beverage and tobacco processing Process control and machine operators, food and beverage processing
