We're seeking an inspiring Director of Wine Club to help shape the future of one of Napa Valley's premier wine club programs. In this leadership role, you'll combine strategy, hospitality, sales, and people leadership to grow membership, elevate the member experience, and develop a high-performing team. Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing Wine Club team that consistently delivers exceptional service, achieves ambitious goals, and creates memorable experiences for our members. Establish clear performance expectations through regular coaching, meaningful feedback, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and recognition where team members are empowered to contribute ideas and drive results. Partner with leadership to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent while building future leaders within the organization.
Drive Membership Growth and Member Loyalty
Develop and execute strategies that increase wine club acquisition, retention, reactivation, and lifetime member value. Analyze member trends, purchasing behaviors, and performance metrics to identify opportunities that enhance engagement and revenue. Partner with Marketing, Hospitality, and Digital teams to create integrated campaigns that strengthen member relationships throughout every stage of the customer journey. Champion innovative programs that elevate the member experience while supporting long-term business growth.
Deliver An Exceptional Luxury Member Experience
Ensure every interaction reflects the hospitality, warmth, and luxury synonymous with Far Niente Wine Estates. Lead the customer service team in providing professional support and ambassadors for our brands by building authentic relationships with members. Collaborate closely with Estate Hospitality teams to provide seamless, personalized experiences before, during, and after each winery visit. Resolve member concerns with professionalism and creativity, turning challenges into opportunities to build loyalty.
Lead Business Performance
Support the development and execution of the annual Wine Club business plan, operating budget, and departmental goals. Monitor key performance indicators including membership growth, retention, conversion, revenue, fulfillment, and service excellence. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while maintaining an uncompromising commitment to quality and service. Utilize CRM and reporting tools to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision making.
Oversee Wine Club Programs and Events
Lead the creative vision for the wine club events and partner with the Events Team to execute exceptional onsite and offsite member events that strengthen engagement and reinforce brand loyalty. Ensure all Wine Club offerings, communications, allocations, and fulfillment programs are executed accurately and consistently. Collaborate across departments to deliver a seamless experience from purchase through fulfillment and ongoing membership engagement.
Champion Operational Excellence
Continuously evaluate processes, systems, and workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and the overall member experience. Ensure accurate member records, reporting, and compliance with company policies and operating procedures. Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve communication and execution between Wine Club, Hospitality, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. Anticipate future business needs and recommend solutions that position the Wine Club for continued growth.
You will be qualified for this role if you meet these requirements:
5 + years in a similar management capacity. Ability to work independently as well as a member of a highly functioning team. Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality. Outbound phone sales experience. Knowledge and use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point. Proficiency with HubSpot CRM and Shopify for sales tracking, segmentation, and fulfillment alignment. Experience creating and managing call/SMS scripts, cadences, and objection handling. Ability to communicate effectively in the predominately used language. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead and inspire a team. Adaptability and organizational skills. Strong leadership presence and ability to coach to performance. Excellent written and verbal communication.
This is a hybrid office position, but there are some physical requirements that our large estate requires:
Ability to ascend and descend stairs. Lift up to 45 lbs. Full body mobility
