About Upriver Social House
Upriver Social House is a new upscale casual farm-to-table restaurant opening in downtown Chilliwack, BC at 9254 Nowell Street. We are built around a simple idea: buy the best ingredients from the Fraser Valley, and then get out of their way.
Our menu celebrates what grows, swims, and grazes within 100 kilometres of our kitchen ? BC salmon, Fraser Valley lamb, Chilliwack berries, locally made burrata. We cook with intention and serve with genuine warmth.
Our name says it all. Going upriver means moving against the easy current ? toward something wilder, truer, and more nourishing. That spirit lives in every plate we send out, and in every person who is part of this team.

Full-Time, Permanent (Mains section and Starters/Pasta section available)
Schedule
4?5 shifts per week. Evenings required. Weekend availability essential.

THE ROLE
Line Cooks at Upriver are not just executing plates ? they are representing everything this restaurant stands for. The lamb rack you send out, the pasta you plate, the scallops you sear: these are the reasons people come back. We are looking for cooks who take that seriously.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Own your section during service ? mains station or starters/pasta station depending on your role
Execute the Upriver menu to the Head Chef?s standard on every ticket, every service
Complete your mise en place before service ? fully, correctly, every shift
Maintain food safety and temperature standards throughout service
Complete HACCP temperature logs for all proteins cooked on your station
Communicate clearly with the pass and with other sections during service
Assist with prep tasks before and after service as directed by the Sous Chef
Keep your station clean and organized throughout service
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
2+ years of professional kitchen experience on a similar or equivalent line
Strong protein cookery skills for the Mains section ? fish, lamb, beef, chicken, duck
Pasta experience (fresh and dried) and charcuterie/starter knowledge for the Starters/Pasta section
FOODSAFE Level 1 required ? must be current or obtained within 30 days of start
Ability to work quickly, cleanly, and calmly in a busy service environment
A genuine curiosity about food and ingredients ? we want cooks who taste and care
