Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as an OVERNIGHT BAKER. This role involves creating beautiful and delicious baked goods, mostly sourdough , and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in baking, and food preparation, and will thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills while contributing to a welcoming bakery or restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of sourdough baked goods, including bread, cookies, etc. ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
• Package baked goods for retail display or customer orders with attention to detail
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and answering questions about ingredients or baking processes
• Follow all food handling and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers
• Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supply needs

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation within a restaurant or bakery setting
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Kitchen experience including food handling, packaging, and basic cooking skills preferred
• Knowledge of the food industry trends related to baking and dessert presentation is a plus
• Flexibility to work weekends or holidays if required; a passion for culinary arts is highly valued
