Position Summary
Night Auditors welcome and register guests as they arrive in the hotel on the overnight shift. They work on the Front Desk and are knowledgeable about the Resort and its services in order to answer guest inquiries. Night Auditors follow processes and guidelines to produce revenue and sales reports. They are also energetic and friendly in order to welcome guests checking-in late and to solve special requests or any problems that arise. Just like all Muskoka Bay Resort Colleagues, Night Auditors are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of themselves, fellow colleagues and guests.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome and register guests as they arrive and assign them rooms in a professional and pleasant manner
- Emergency Calls: monitor and respond to the emergency phone lines and follow Health and Safety procedures to take action. (i.e. calling 911 and filling out supporting documentation)
- Be familiarized with all functions and events occurring in the hotel and on Muskoka Bay property every day
- Become well familiarized with general and special rates, plans, and packages
- Ensure that all special requests or problems are routed to the appropriate areas and follow up with each shift
- Respond to guest inquiries and give information about resort and surrounding area
- Follow the night audit guidelines
- Print credit card reports for debit machines
- Balance internal PM folios
- Ensure “Close Day” has been successfully completed
- Maintain float
- Preparing audit reports for accounting
Skills, AbilitIes, attributes
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Previous experience in customer service and cashier roles
- Must be able to work independently
- Proven organization and multi-tasking skills
- Able to work night shift and day shift
- Able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
