Company: CN Tower Location: CN Tower - Food & Beverage, 290 Bremner Blvd, Toronto, ONEmployment Status: Employee (Full-Time) Reason for Hire: ReplacementShort Summary The 360 Bartender prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for customers of 360 Restaurant. The 360 Bar is a service bar and will fill drink orders placed by 360 Captains for customers to be served. They adhere to standard drink recipes and accommodate special requests made by the guests. Will ensure the bar area is clean, properly stocked, organized and ready for service. Job Description Mix and dispense alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to 360 Captains in accordance to established recipes Complete beer count and daily Bar requisition to ensure accurate levels of inventory at end of shift and start of shift Pick up all beverage required for the day from base with receivers (from prior nights requisition), and put away ensuring proper rotation Pour wine and provide bottled beer and glass to Captain Maintain effective portion controls, in the bar using established pouring methods and proper equipment Ensures that bar services comply with Smart Serve Responsible for following federal, provincial and local policies and regulations for serving alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner Communicate with Restaurant Manager(s) when there are deficiencies of bar specific par stock, beverages or wines during service Maintain cleanliness of bars throughout service Ensures standards of appearance and sanitation are maintained on a daily basis Maintains CO2 tanks in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Set up beverage station for the day and cut fruit for bar service Maintain a thorough knowledge of menus, products, ingredients and potentially relevant allergies Assist the Restaurant Services Managers to build cocktail program Follow up with management prior to shift regarding special functions or events for the day Participate in departmental skills training as required Assist the Restaurant Services Managers and Restaurant staff with other designated duties within the job classification Adhere to all Company policies and departmental procedures and the Collective Agreement Qualifications One (1) to three (3) years of related fine dining experience, in the bartender capacity, is required
A diploma from a secondary school is required
Wine and spirits courses or program is required
Smart Serve certification is required Working Conditions Ability to stand or walk for long periods of the day.Flexible to work rotating shifts, which includes but is not limited to evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.Light to infrequently moderate physical effort. Requires handling of light and moderate weight objects including CN Tower merchandise/inventory, office equipment and other office supplies.Lifting or moving up to 25 kilograms as requiredRate of Pay: $23.56 ($22.38)
