Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Hotel Manager role based in Vancouver, BC. The Assistant Hotel Manager supports daily hotel operations, including front desk oversight, guest relations, and coordination with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms and public areas meet quality standards. This role assists with monitoring reservations, managing check-in and check-out processes, and handling guest inquiries, feedback, and escalations in a timely and professional manner. The Assistant Hotel Manager helps with basic budgeting and cost control tasks, supports sales initiatives to increase occupancy and revenue, and collaborates with food & beverage services where applicable to maintain consistent service. The role also involves training and supporting front-line staff, maintaining compliance with company policies and safety procedures, and ensuring smooth, guest-focused operations throughout the hotel. Qualifications Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to resolve guest issues professionally and maintain a welcoming environment. Experience with Budgeting and basic financial oversight to support cost control and revenue goals. Sales skills to help drive occupancy, promote hotel services, and support local marketing initiatives. Familiarity with Food & Beverage operations, including coordination with restaurant or catering teams when applicable. Experience with Receptionist Duties, including reservations management, check-in/check-out, and effective use of hotel management systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and guests. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Previous experience in hotel or hospitality management, supervision, or front office leadership is highly beneficial. Working knowledge of common hotel property management systems and basic office software. Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
