We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team, here at Ward One Smokehouse and Brewery. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality meals to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare & Cook: Prep, smoke and grill meats, prepare sides, and cook dishes to order with precision and care.
• Maintain Standards: Ensure consistency in every dish, from prep to plating, following our recipes and quality standards.
• Kitchen Organization: Keep your station clean and well-organized, ensuring proper food storage and stock levels.
• Collaborate: Work closely with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service, especially during busy hours.
• Food Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food.
• Adaptability: Help with other kitchen tasks as needed, such as prep work, cleaning, and assisting in menu development.

Qualifications:

• A love for great food, especially smoked meats, and a commitment to delivering excellence in every dish.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Experience in the food industry, particularly in food handling and preparation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in meal preparation.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• Attention to detail to ensure high-quality food service standards are met.
