About Benson Seafood Co Ltd

Wholesale Food and Beverage
11-50 employees
Founded in 1971

Benson Seafood is a fifth-generation, family-owned seafood processor and distributor providing premium Atlantic Canadian seafood from Grand Manan Island to wholesale partners worldwide.

All of our live, frozen, and value-added lobster, crab, and scallop products are harvested from the cold, clean waters of the Bay of Fundy and handled with careful, hands-on oversight from dock to delivery.

Our work is guided by respect for the resource and for the people behind it. For five generations, we’ve been present in the community where this industry lives. We know our fishermen, crews, and partners by name, because a reliable supply is built on strong relationships, real community, and steady standards.

We maintain close control from dockside intake through processing, packing, and transportation, allowing us to move seafood efficiently while protecting freshness, timing, and product integrity. As we grow our processing capabilities, we’re expanding access to premium quality Atlantic Canadian Seafood for partners in new and existing markets worldwide.

Our business is part of an ecosystem that includes the ocean, our community, and the future of these fisheries on Grand Manan. That responsibility shapes how we operate so the resource, and the families and livelihoods that depend on it, remain strong for generations to come.

We know from experience that a rising tide lifts all ships. If we do well, the people around us should do well too. That mindset has carried us for five generations, and it’s how we plan to keep moving forward.

If you’re looking for quality seafood you can trust, backed by people who stand behind what they deliver, we’d be happy to hear from you.
