About the role

Civeo Premium Services Employees LP is currently seeking an Executive Chef for our operations in the Faro, Yukon region. This blended leadership role is responsible for the overall management of lodge operations, including culinary services, guest experience, employee engagement, financial performance, safety, and operational excellence. This position is based on a rotational schedule of 14 days on / 14 days off, as required by the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all lodge operations, including culinary, housekeeping, front desk, and guest services, ensuring exceptional service delivery and guest satisfaction. 

  • Oversee kitchen operations, menu planning, food quality, inventory management, purchasing, and cost control. 

  • Build, coach, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a positive, engaged, and safety-focused work environment. 

  • Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting to support efficient and profitable operations. 

  • Establish performance expectations, conduct employee reviews, and support ongoing training and development initiatives. 

  • Respond to guest concerns and operational issues in a professional and timely manner. 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, workplace health and safety standards, and contractual requirements. 

  • Collaborate with regional leadership to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong safety culture. 

  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships while ensuring the lodge consistently meets operational and service objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, camp services, lodge operations, or remote workforce accommodations. 

  • Previous experience managing multi-department operations is preferred. 

  • Demonstrated success leading, developing, and motivating diverse teams. 

  • Interprovincial Red Seal Cook Certification is considered an asset. 

  • Certified Chef de Cuisine (CCC) designation or Culinary Arts Diploma is considered an asset. 

  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and cost control. 

  • Class 5 Driver's License with a driving record satisfactory to Civeo's driving criteria. 

  • Standard First Aid certification is required. 

  • Food Safety certification valid in the province of Alberta for the duration of employment is mandatory. 

  • Advanced Food Safety certification is preferred. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. 

  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. 

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Passion for delivering excellence in customer service and guest satisfaction. 

  • Must be able to pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test.
