The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, the Food Services Manager manages all aspects of dining services in order to meet the nutritional needs of residents. They will also ensure the effective and efficient preparation and delivery of food to the residents within legislative and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of dining services operations Ensure compliance with all legislative, health, safety, and food service requirements Oversee menu execution, food quality, presentation, and resident satisfaction Assist with cooking and kitchen operations when required Manage food purchasing, inventory control, and budget performance Recruit, schedule, coach, develop, and lead dining services team members Conduct performance reviews and support employee development Investigate and resolve resident and employee concerns Collaborate with the Manager of Care regarding resident nutritional needs Build strong relationships with residents and families through regular engagement Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment Participate in community events and special dining experiences
Qualifications
Red Seal Certification required Minimum five (5) years of progressive culinary leadership experience Retirement living, hospitality, healthcare, or senior living experience considered an asset Strong scratch cooking and food production experience Proven leadership and team development skills Experience managing labour and operating budgets Strong understanding of food safety and regulatory compliance requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable using Microsoft Office and electronic management systems Flexible to support occasional evening and weekend events
