Job Title: Part time Bakery & Café Clerk

Job Overview: We are looking for a passionate and skilled Bakery & Café Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support our baker in cake& pastry preparation and design, work as a barista to create exceptional coffee beverages, handle cashier duties, and deliver top-notch customer service. The ideal candidate will have some experience in a similar role and be comfortable working in a customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the baker with pastry preparation and design, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
• Operate as a barista, preparing coffee drinks to perfection using an espresso machine.
• Manage the front of house by delivering exceptional customer service with a positive, friendly attitude.
• Oversee daily operations, including greeting customers, taking orders, and providing an excellent dining experience.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the café, including regular cleaning and restocking.
• Manage inventory levels and communicate with the owner and team to ensure product availability.
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop marketing strategies and promotional events to drive sales.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of previous experience in a bakery, café, or similar customer service role.
• One year experience with espresso machines and creating high-quality coffee drinks is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
