About the role
Job Summary Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and production schedules. Maintain product quality, cleanliness, and safe food handling in a busy bakery environment. Number of Positions 8 Main Duties Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and icings by measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes. Operate ovens, mixers, sheeters, proofers and other bakery equipment, adjusting settings as required. Monitor baking processes, check product quality, and adjust times and temperatures to ensure consistency. Portion, shape, finish, decorate, and package baked goods for sale or distribution. Follow sanitation and food safety procedures, including cleaning work areas and equipment and rotating stock. Assist with inventory control, ingredient receiving, storage and basic production record keeping. Requirements Secondary school diploma or equivalent; completion of bakery or culinary training is an asset. Previous experience working in a bakery, pastry production, or similar food production environment. Knowledge of baking techniques, standard recipes, and ingredient handling. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights safely. Flexible availability to work early mornings, weekends, and shift-based schedules. Ability to follow written recipes and production schedules; food handling certification preferred or ability to obtain one.
