Cormorant Rock is a luxury oceanfront accommodation development located at the base of Cape Smokey in Ingonish, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Steps from Atlantic Canada's only gondola, Cormorant Rock offers modern chalets and year-round access to skiing, hiking, cycling, kayaking, and other outdoor recreation opportunities. As part of the continued growth of Cape Smokey's four-season resort operations, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations at Cormorant Rock. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cleaning Supervisor (NOC 62024) to supervise and coordinate housekeeping operations and ensure accommodations consistently meet company cleanliness, presentation, and guest service standards. This is a permanent, non-seasonal, position.
Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping and cleaning staff; Inspect guest accommodations, common areas, and facilities to ensure established cleanliness and safety standards are met; Hire, train, and supervise housekeeping staff and evaluate employee performance; Prepare work schedules and coordinate housekeeping activities with other departments; Assign duties and establish cleaning priorities based on occupancy levels and operational requirements; Recommend repairs, maintenance work, and replacement of furnishings and equipment as required; Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the ordering of cleaning supplies, linens, amenities, and equipment; Maintain records related to staffing, inspections, inventory, and housekeeping activities; Respond to guest requests and resolve housekeeping related concerns in a professional manner; Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures and company policies; Assist with cleaning duties during periods of high occupancy or staffing shortages; Lead a progressive workplace culture rooted in our company values.
Requirements: Completion of secondary school; Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping, cleaning services, or accommodations operations; Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, accommodations, or a related environment; Strong leadership and team management skills; Excellent organizational and communication abilities; Experience preparing work schedules and coordinating staff activities; Knowledge of cleaning procedures, workplace safety requirements, and quality control standards; Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; Valid driver's license is considered an asset.

Hours: This position is a full-time, permanent, position for 40 hours per week.
Salary: The qualified applicant will be paid an annual salary of $50,000 to $58,000 CAD depending on qualifications and experience.
