About Nourish Nova Scotia: Nourish Nova Scotia inspires and equips young people to learn about food and transform the food systems around them. Through our programs and advocacy, we work to improve access to nutritious food, create supportive spaces for youth to learn about food, and support young leaders to make our food system better. We believe that every young person deserves the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to build positive, healthy relationships with food. When we equip youth with hands-on food education, we’re not just teaching them how to cook or grow food - we are supporting a thriving, empowered generation, that values and protects our local food system.

About the Role: The Program Manager works closely with the Executive Director and the Nourish team to ensure programs and initiatives are well integrated, effectively supported, and aligned with Nourish Nova Scotia’s values and strategic plan. They serve as a key resource and primary go‑to for program staff, particularly in program design, internal collaboration, and process improvement. As the organization’s only registered dietitian, the Manager of Programs plays a critical role in ensuring that all programs and resources are evidence‑informed and uphold a high standard of nutritional programming for youth and youth‑serving organizations. Through strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, the Manager of Programs mentors and supports program staff, strengthens internal capacity for program design, development, and evaluation, and creates opportunities for meaningful youth and partner engagement. They also oversee the development and promotion of a growing suite of resources and professional development offerings, grounded in best practices and shaped by input from diverse partners and youth.

About you: You’re an excellent communicator who brings clarity to complex ideas and builds tools and processes that help people do their best work. You’re an experienced manager who enjoys supporting, mentoring, and championing a dynamic team with a wide range of skills and strengths. You’re a strategic thinker who’s also eager to roll up your sleeves and dive into the work alongside your team. You’re comfortable in emerging environments - capturing insights, connecting dots, and creating cohesion where others might see chaos. You have a learner’s mindset and thrive in spaces where teaching, sharing knowledge, and sparking curiosity are part of the everyday rhythm. You wear many hats with ease, drawing energy from the variety, collaboration, and creativity that come with an evolving role.
