Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our team. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious pastries and desserts in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Duties:

• Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, including cakes, cookies, pies, and breads
• Decorate pastries using various techniques such as icing, glazing, and piping
• Follow recipes and ensure consistency in taste and presentation
• Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
• Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines during all stages of food preparation
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate pastry orders with main menu items
• Package finished products for display or take-out orders
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment regularly

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within the food industry
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail for precise measurements and decorations
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
