About the role
Job Overview
We’re looking for a forward-thinking Supply Chain Manager to lead our end-to-end supply chain and modernize how we plan, buy, move, and store product. In this role, you’ll own demand planning, procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations — making sure raw materials arrive on time, inventory is right-sized, and finished goods get to our customers across Canada and the US without a hitch.
You’ll be a key partner to manufacturing, sales, and finance, and you’ll have real influence over how our supply chain scales as we grow our retail footprint. We’re especially interested in someone who sees technology and AI as core tools of the trade, not afterthoughts — someone who can use data, automation, and emerging tools to sharpen forecasts, optimize inventory, and uncover opportunities others miss.
If you’re energized by solving complex problems, building strong supplier and 3PL partnerships, and shaping the future of supply chain in a fast-moving CPG environment, we’d love to meet you.
Duties
Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
Own demand planning and S&OP, partnering with sales and operations to build forecasts that drive production, procurement, and inventory decisions. Build and execute supply chain strategies that align with company goals across both Canadian and US operations. Use data analytics and AI tools to improve forecast accuracy, spend analysis, supplier evaluation, and risk identification. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive workflows and bring modern tech into day-to-day operations.
Procurement & Vendor Management
Lead supplier selection, evaluation, and performance reviews to build a reliable, high-performing vendor network. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to land strong deals without compromising on quality or service. Own contract management — drafting, reviewing, and renewing supplier agreements while protecting company interests. Run end-to-end purchasing through our ERP, keeping transactions accurate and processes efficient.
Warehouse & Inventory Operations
Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, and cycle counts. Manage warehouse staff, set productivity and accuracy targets, and build SOPs that scale as volumes grow. Monitor inventory through digital inventory management tools, balancing availability with cost and avoiding excess or stockouts. Drive continuous improvement in warehouse layout, processes, and technology adoption.
Logistics & Distribution
Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including cross-border shipments between Canada and the US. Partner with 3PLs, freight providers, and customs brokers to streamline transportation and meet retailer OTIF requirements. Optimize freight costs, lead times, and routing to support major retail customers (mass, grocery, club, natural channels).
Compliance, Reporting & Cross-Functional Leadership
Ensure supply chain practices stay compliant with internal policies, food safety standards (GFSI/SQF), and applicable regulations on both sides of the border. Keep clean, audit-ready records of POs, supplier communications, contracts, inventory movements, and procurement activity. Analyze supply chain performance and report key metrics (forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, landed cost) to leadership. Partner with manufacturing to forecast material needs using MRP and keep production on schedule. Stay current on emerging supply chain technologies and champion their adoption where they add value.
Requirements
Solid track record (6+ years) in supply chain management, ideally in CPG, food and beverage, or manufacturing. Hands-on experience across demand planning, procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations — not just one slice. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MRP; familiarity with WMS platforms is a strong plus. Comfort and curiosity with technology and AI tools — whether that’s using analytics platforms, exploring AI-driven forecasting, or finding ways to automate manual work. Deep knowledge of sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor management, and supply chain operations. Experience with cross-border (Canada/US) logistics, customs, and brokerage is a strong asset. Sharp negotiation skills and strong analytical chops for cost analysis, supplier evaluation, and inventory optimization. Proven ability to manage people — warehouse staff, planners, or buyers. A relationship-builder, both with external partners (suppliers, 3PLs, retailers) and internal teams across the business. Highly organized with attention to detail in managing contracts, POs, and documentation. Clear, confident communicator across negotiation, collaboration, and reporting. APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or SCMP certification is an asset.
Come lead our supply chain function and help shape how we plan, source, move, and grow. Your work will directly drive operational excellence and support our push toward smarter, more innovative CPG manufacturing.
