  JOB DESCRIPTION:                                                                                                       

Working for Central Reservations, the painter/maintenance person is expected to be able to apply paint and other finishes to interior surfaces of buildings. Execute other tasks that can include light plumbing, electrical and plumbing work. 

The candidate does not need to be ticketed, but must have drywall patching skills and be able to cut in and tape as needed. This is a summer position, with all equipment supplied.

• Prepare and clean surfaces using methods such as scraping, sanding, remove old wallpaper and loose paint; repair cracks and holes in walls; and sandpaper and apply sealer
• Mix and thin paint to obtain desired color and texture
• Apply paint or other materials, such as stains, lacquer, enamel, oil, varnish, or fire retardant using brushes and rollers.
• Assemble and erect scaffolding as needed 
• Communicate effectively with all department
• Follow all Health & Safety protocols and procedures
• Summer season runs from mid-June to early September
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
