Position: Part-Time/Unionized

Hours: Evening shifts/Weekends/Holidays, 3:30pm to 12:00am

Salary: $21.25 per hour

Responsibilities

• strive to uphold all hygiene and sanitary regulations and be clean and presentable at all times (i.e., report to duty punctually wearing a clean and correct uniform and safety shoes)
• ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your co-workers by upholding the safety rules
• ensure that your co-workers practice safe work habits
• ensure that all equipment in the kitchen is clean and in good working condition
• adhere to sanitation standards as outlined by the Public Health Department
• Guidelines and orders from management must be followed in the most efficient way.
• Must be available to work evening and weekends
• Sweeping and mopping floors including the walk-in fridge and freezer
• The job entails cleaning dishes, silverware, glasses, plus the pots, pans and other cooking utensils used in preparing food.
• Responsible for taking out the garbage and keeping the garbage cans clean
• Cleaning the line between each service and changing the fryer oil when necessary
• Dishwashers are often tasked with seasonal cleaning jobs and must be willing to clean anything that falls under the kitchen?s responsibility
• Some heavy lifting and working on ladders are necessary
• Reports to 1st and 2nd cooks followed by Executive Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef
