The company also supplies professional espresso and coffee machines, coffee roasters, coffee grinders, and commercial pizza ovens in electric, gas, and wood-burning configurations. In addition, Alfa Food Service offers deli slicers and other food service equipment, serving a wide range of hospitality and food service businesses. Role Description The Food Service Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This role involves engaging with existing and prospective customers, presenting Alfa Food Service’s product offerings, and providing guidance on suitable coffee, food products, and equipment solutions for their operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include processing orders, responding to customer inquiries, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring accurate product information is communicated. The Food Service Representative will also support product demonstrations, help maintain showroom or warehouse organization, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve service or logistics issues. This role requires a strong customer-focus, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications
Customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients. Sales and product presentation abilities, including comfort explaining technical features of coffee equipment and food service products. Organizational and time-management skills to handle orders, follow-ups, and documentation accurately. Basic technical aptitude for understanding food service equipment (espresso machines, grinders, ovens) and supporting product demonstrations. Knowledge or interest in coffee, specialty foods, or food service operations is an asset. Prior experience in food service, hospitality, or wholesale distribution is preferred. Ability to work on-site in the Greater Toronto Area, lift moderate weights as needed, and stand for extended periods when supporting demonstrations or warehouse activities.
