Company Description The Inn at Bay Fortune is a distinctive culinary destination located along the Fortune River in rural Prince Edward Island. Led by Chef Michael and Chastity Smith, the property features a five-star Inn and a dining room that hosts up to 70 guests for the nightly FireWorks Feast from May to October. The culinary experience is built around ingredients sourced from the on-site farm and local producers, emphasizing freshness and sustainability. Together with the farm team, the Inn delivers a 5-course, live-fire-cooked, Island-focused dining experience that showcases the best of Prince Edward Island.

Role Description The Supervisor role is a contract, on-site position based at The Inn at Bay Fortune in Fortune Bridge, PE. This role oversees day-to-day operations of restaurant services and dining, including coordinating staff schedules, monitoring service standards, and ensuring a seamless guest experience during the FireWorks Feast and throughout the Inn. The Supervisor supports and guides team members, helps resolve guest issues, and collaborates with culinary and farm teams to align service with the inn’s culinary vision. Responsibilities include maintaining health and safety standards, assisting with training new staff, and supporting inventory and basic administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications Experience supervising hospitality or restaurant operations, with the ability to lead and support a diverse team in a fast-paced environment. Strong guest service and communication skills, with a focus on creating welcoming, memorable experiences for all guests. Proven organizational and time-management abilities, including scheduling, coordinating daily workflows, and handling multiple priorities. Knowledge of basic food service and safety practices; experience in fine dining or culinary-focused venues is an asset. Comfort working on-site in a rural setting and during evening and weekend shifts throughout the July–October season. Ability to stand for extended periods, move between indoor and outdoor spaces, and support a live-fire dining environment safely. Previous experience in hotels, inns, or tourism settings in Prince Edward Island or similar destinations is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in hospitality, tourism, or culinary arts is an advantage.
