About the role

Heartland Housing Foundation serves over 900 households in Fort Saskatchewan & Strathcona County as a not-for-profit housing management body and the administrators for provincially funded rent supplement programs. We operate 12 properties, including affordable lodges, rent-geared-to-income seniors housing, and near market housing for all ages.

Heartland Housing Foundation actively advocates for expanded access to affordable housing in the region, and is a member of several national, provincial, and regional affordable housing associations and working groups.

Hours

  • 11:00am - 6:00pm
  • 4 days on 4 days off rotation schedule, including weekend and holidays

Pay

  • Competitive pay, starting at $19.08 per hour
  • Shift differentials and shift premiums are available based on your scheduled shifts and hours

Position Overview

As a Dining Room Attendant, you'll be at the forefront of our Food Services team, delivering top-notch customer service to residents. Your main role involves ensuring meal service runs smoothly, this includes maintaining a clean dining area, setting tables, and serving food to our residents. Your dedication to providing prompt and efficient service will ensure a positive dining experience for all. Responsibilities

Dining Room Service

  • Prepare Dining Room: Set tables and prepare condiments and beverages, ensuring equipment readiness for meal service.
  • Provide Meal Service: Support residents by describing menu options, taking orders, and serving food and beverages according to guidelines.
  • Greet Residents: Welcome residents, conduct wellness checks, and follow up on absent residents with housekeeping.
  • Monitor and Replenish: Keep track of food levels during meals and
