About the role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Cold/refrigerated. Wet/damp. Work setting: Ski centre/resort. Tasks: Operate ski lifts. Schedule work. Determine snow quality. Monitor equipment to detect wear and damage. Monitor safety area. Provide instruction and assistance to skiers on surface lift techniques and loading and unloading of chair lifts. Operate radio and other communication equipment to communicate emergency events, maintenance of equipment and other procedures with staff members. Operate snowmobiles. Assist clients on and off ski lifts. Supervision: 16-20 people. Ski lift attendants. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Ski Lift Operator Certification. First Aid Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads.
