Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Indian Line Cook specializing in Tandoor and Appetizer preparation to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have experience in authentic Indian cuisine, with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary talents in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
- Prepare and cook traditional Indian dishes, including tandoori items and appetizers, ensuring authenticity and quality.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as marinating, chopping, and assembling ingredients for various menu items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the cooking process.
- Serve dishes promptly to ensure freshness and presentation standards are met.
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate meal preparation during busy service hours.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or food industry setting.
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine, particularly Tandoor cooking techniques and appetizer creation.
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Flexibility to work during restaurant hours, a typical shift will start from 5 pm to 11:30 pm weekend availablity is must including weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with commercial tandoor ovens
- Basic knowledge of Indo-Chinese cooking
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
