Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Indian Line Cook specializing in Tandoor and Appetizer preparation to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have experience in authentic Indian cuisine, with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards. Duties

• Prepare and cook traditional Indian dishes, including tandoori items and appetizers, ensuring authenticity and quality.
• Handle food preparation tasks such as marinating, chopping, and assembling ingredients for various menu items.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the cooking process.
• Serve dishes promptly to ensure freshness and presentation standards are met.
• Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate meal preparation during busy service hours.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or food industry setting.
• Knowledge of Indian cuisine, particularly Tandoor cooking techniques and appetizer creation.
• Strong understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent serving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Flexibility to work during restaurant hours, a typical shift will start from 5 pm to 11:30 pm weekend availablity is must including weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with commercial tandoor ovens
• Basic knowledge of Indo-Chinese cooking
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
