Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Retail Operations Advisor on a permanent basis on our Independent Business Operations team. This position is a remote opportunity and can be based across Western Canada. This role requires travel of approximately 50% or more throughout Western Canada.
In this role you will help independent retail grocery clients grow their business through a consultative sales approach, strategic programs, and operational support. What you’ll do:
- Grow independent retail accounts through trusted partnerships and tailored business solutions.
- Lead retail programs, store improvements, and onboarding initiatives that drive business success.
- Analyze sales and market data to identify opportunities and support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and support long-term growth.
Who you’ll work with: The Team: You will work closely with other Senior Operations Advisors and will report into the Manager, Independent Retail Operations. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, communication, innovation, and building long lasting relationships.
The Customers: You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting independent grocery retailers through trusted partnerships and tailored business solutions.
Why it matters: We help feed Western Canada by providing fresh groceries and wholesale solutions to independent retail stores, restaurants and other food establishments in communities large and small.
Who you are: You are looking for a career in Retail Operations and:
- Have 6-9 years of relevant progressively responsible experience in food management.
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, or Marketing (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Have a strong understanding of Fresh Food departments, particularly meat, is considered an asset.
