Responsibilities
Tasks
Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
Plan and organize daily operations
Recruit staff
Set staff work schedules
Train staff
Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
Organize and maintain inventory
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
Establish, implement, and continuously improve service standards for all back-of-house staff
Oversee and coordinate training programs for all new employees, including back-of-house staff, covering all kitchen positions such as chefs, specialty sauce cooks, meat cutters, and kitchen helpers.
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Organize and maintain inventory
Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
Recruit staff and set staff work schedules
Manage all back-of-house staff, including kitchen runners, chefs, and specialty sauce cooks; supervise daily kitchen operations, monitor staff performance, and ensure all kitchen processes are executed efficiently.
